Welcome to Charly Lab, the fablab of IUT Nancy Charlemagne! We are a third place that allows you to explore and bring your ideas to life through 5 development poles: Third Place, Communication, Mixed Reality, Fabrication and Electronics. With us, each pole is an open door to new creative opportunities. Through this website, you will explore Charly Lab by going through each of its poles. We let you discover them!

A third place

Our third place, located on the 5th floor of the IUT, is open to all those who want to develop ideas and projects. Come work in a creative and stimulating environment. Do not hesitate to exchange with the people present to learn more about the place and the different possibilities it offers.

We are open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm.

Charly Communication

Welcome to our communication pole! It will allow you to bring your ideas to life on paper or on fabric. We can print your designs in large format thanks to our digital plotter or use risography for original prints. It is also possible to develop your merch by sublimating your design on a mug, a t-shirt, a tote bag… Don't wait any longer to realize your original communication ideas!

Mixed Reality

You're in the mixed reality hub. This will bring together augmented reality and virtual reality. We have the tools and knowledge to help you create immersive, interactive experiences. We've already developed a number of experiences, so don't hesitate to come and try them out, and above all, let your imagination run wild!

The Fabrication

The fabrication pole is one of the indispensable classics of a fablab. We have numerous 3D printers, a laser cutter/engraver and a CNC that will allow you to bring your prototypes to life. Produce your ideas with several types of materials such as wood, cardboard, PLA, TPU. We will advise you in the realization of your projects. Here, your creativity is your only limit!

Electronic

To finish, the vast electronics pole. Whether it's to learn how to program electronic cards or even pilot drones, we are here to help you. No matter your level, come and build your wildest ideas. You can, for example, create a fully controllable articulated arm or even program a robot to dance. Come learn while having fun!
